Patapon 3 Review

Patapon 3 Review

Pata-Pata-Pata-Pon! If you've played any of the patapon games you will know exactly what this means. Patapon is by far one of the greatest series on the psp system to date. At first when I heard about it, I thought to myself it would be quite lame because of the whole musical RPG genre but wow I am amazed at actually how addictive this game is.

Patapon 3 takes place directly after the events of Patapon 2. As you start the game you are introduced to Hoshipon, the only ally which was sealed in the box. He revives your main character (In this game you are not a mighty god anymore, instead you are a UberHero with EPIC powers! Which makes more sense to me) and some old allies to get you started.

This game is much better than its predecessors, Pyramid ( Game developers) Have finally sorted out all the kinks in this series and have made the perfect threequel. There are many new features and the game seems to be more progressive with a gripping story. The songs are catchy as usual ( no newly added beats unfortunately) and the FEVER mode is much more easily attainable.

If you are new to the series play the first 2 games first, you will enjoy them thoroughly. These games are always rated as top games of the year and IGN even awarded t as the best series ever on the psp.

(PS: Sorry about the lack of reviews, when I got back from my little holiday I came home to no internet…at least its finally fixed).

Gamescore: 9/10
