The 3rd Birthday Review

Remember back in 1997 when Square Soft (now known as Square Enix) released Parasite Eve a lot of people were skeptical about it but wow, what an awesome game! Its been 11 years since the last game in this series (Parasite Eve 2) and alI I can say is it has been worth the wait :). Don’t worry new players to the series will understand what’s going on.

When starting a new game you get to see a really awesome CGI showing the Big Apple getting torn apart. You are quickly introduced to the series main hero Aya Brea and find out that a year has passed since the events of Parasite Eve 2. You are tasked with traveling back in time to prevent the outbreak from spreading.

I found the gameplay fairly smooth, but had a problem with the stiff controls. The newly added overdrive mode makes this game immensely more fun than its predecessors. Being a 3rd person shooter I thought it would be tricky on the psp but I was pleasantly mistaken.

Yet another title from Square Enix this year that’s been awesome! I highly recommend this game to all!

Game Score: 9/10

  18. I'm not sure whether or not you did this because you already planned on it, because it's a Square game (I see you like their games, as do I), or it's because I requested it back in your Dissidia review, but regardless, I'm glad you did.

I loved Parasite Eve one and two and should I ever come into possession, I am getting PE3. Or the Third Birthday, whatever.
